अतः: पर प्रवक्ष्यामि यानि देयानि भारते । वाच्यमाने तु विप्रेभ्यो राजन्‌ पर्वणि पर्वणि

Transliteration

ataḥ paraṁ pravakṣyāmi yāni deyāni bhārate | vācyamāne tu viprebhyo rājan parvaṇi parvaṇi ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「これより先、『バーラタ』（マハーバーラタ）において施すべき布施について述べよう。王よ、物語がバラモンたちに誦されているあいだ、各パルヴァンごとに、ふさわしい施与を捧げるべきである。」
