गाव: कांस्योपदोहाश्न कन्याश्वैव स्वलंकृता:

gāvaḥ kāṃsyopadohāś ca kanyāś caiva su-alaṅkṛtāḥ

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「青銅の搾乳器を備えた牛があり、また、華やかに飾り立てた乙女たちもいた。」この偈は、吉祥なる贈与と儀礼の供物の光景を呼び起こし、富をため込むのではなく、施しと歓待と功徳のために用いるべきだという社会的・倫理的理想を示している。
