Recognition and Explanation
वायोर्मूर्तिमतः पाश्वें दिव्यमूर्तिसमन्वितम् । श्रिया परमया युक्त सिद्धिं परमिकां गतम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | vāyor mūrtimataḥ pārśve divyamūrtisamanvitam | śriyā paramayā yuktaṃ siddhiṃ paramikāṃ gatam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ついで彼らは、神々しい姿を具えたビーマセーナが、身体をもって現れたヴァーユの傍らに座しているのを見た。至上の光輝に照らされ、最高の成就に達したビーマは、崇高なる境地において現れた——それは、彼の生涯の力と不屈がダルマにかなうとき、最上の果へと結実することを示す。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the idea that steadfast strength and life-long commitment to dharma culminate in divine recognition and spiritual perfection (siddhi), portrayed as Bhīma’s exalted, radiant state beside his divine progenitor Vāyu.
In the ascent to heaven, the seers behold Bhīmasena in a transformed, divine form, seated beside the embodied Wind-god Vāyu, shining with supreme splendor and having attained the highest spiritual accomplishment.
