तथा ददर्श पाज्चालीं कमलोत्पलमालिनीम् | वपुषा स्वर्गमाक्रम्य तिष्ठन्तीमर्कवर्चसम्
tathā dadarśa pāñcālīṃ kamalotpalamālinīm | vapuṣā svargam ākramya tiṣṭhantīm arkavarcasaṃ ||
ついで彼は、蓮と睡蓮の花鬘をまとったパンチャーラの王女ドラウパディーを見た。自らの神妙なる姿の光輝によって、彼女は天界そのものを満たし、なお凌駕するかのように、太陽にも比すべき輝きをもってそこに立っていた――苦難ののちに忍耐と廉直を称える道義の秩序のもと、彼女の不屈が結実したことを告げる徴である。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores karmic fruition and dharmic vindication: one who has endured hardship with steadfastness and integrity is ultimately honored, here symbolized by Draupadī’s sun-like radiance in Svarga.
In the Svargarohana episode, the narrator describes a vision of Draupadī in heaven—garlanded with lotuses, standing in divine brilliance that seems to pervade and outshine the celestial realm.
