Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī

ततस्तौ तपसां वासौ यशसां तेजसामपि,तदनन्तर तपस्या, यश और तेजके भी निवासस्थान वे शम-दमसम्पन्न दोनों ऋषि पूर्वाह्नकालका नित्य कर्म पूर्ण करके फिर शान्त-भावसे पाद्य और अर्घ्य आदि निवेदन करके नारदजीकी पूजा करने लगे

tatas tau tapasāṃ vāsau yaśasāṃ tejasām api | tad-anantaraṃ tapasyā yaśaḥ tejaś ca nivāsasthānaṃ tau śama-dama-sampannau ubhau ṛṣī pūrvāhṇa-kālasya nitya-karma pūrayitvā punaḥ śānta-bhāvena pādya-arghyādīni nivedya nāradaṃ pūjayām āsa tuḥ |

ヴァイサンパーヤナは語った。ついでその二人の聖仙—苦行の住処であり、また名声と霊妙の光の宿る者—は、日々の朝の作法を終えると、静かな心で足を洗う水(パーディヤ)とアルギャの供物を捧げ、ナーラダを礼拝し始めた。
