युधिषछिर उवाच स्थानमुत्तममासाद्य भगवन्तं स्थिरव्रता: । आजन्ममरणं वा ते स्मरन्त्युत न वानघ

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca

sthānam uttamam āsādya bhagavantaṃ sthiravratāḥ |

ājanma-maraṇaṃ vā te smaranty uta na vānagha ||

ユディシュティラは言った。「おお罪なき御方よ、至上の境地に到り、福徳具わる主を得たのち、堅固なる誓いを保つその賢者たちは、生から死に至るまでの自らの生涯の歩みを、覚えているのですか—それとも覚えていないのですか。どうかこの事の真実を、ありのままにお語りください。」
