Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
तदेनमसुरश्रेष्ठ त्रैलोक्येनापि दुर्जयम् । जहि त्वं योगमास्थाय मावमंस्था: सुरेश्वर,सुरेश्वर! यह श्रेष्ठ असुर तीनों लोकोंके लिये भी दुर्जय है। तुम योगका आश्रय लेकर इसका वध करो। इसकी अवहेलना न करो
tad enam asuraśreṣṭha trailokyenāpi durjayam | jahi tvaṁ yogam āsthāya māvamamsthāḥ sureśvara ||
マヘーシュヴァラは言った。「おお、アスラの中の最勝者よ。こやつは三界をもってしても征服しがたい。ゆえに、神々の主よ、ヨーガに依りてこれを討て。侮ってはならぬ。」
महेश्वर उवाच
Even a powerful agent must not act from pride or carelessness. When confronting a seemingly invincible adversary, one should rely on yoga—disciplined concentration, inner steadiness, and right method—so that action is effective and ethically grounded rather than impulsive.
Maheśvara advises a divine ruler (addressed as Sureśvara) about a formidable being described as unconquerable even by the three worlds. He urges the listener to adopt yogic discipline and decisively slay the foe, explicitly warning against underestimating him.
