प्रवृत्तमेतद् भगवन् महर्षे महद्युतेश्नक्रमनन्तवीर्यम् । विष्णोरनन्तस्य सनातनं तत् स्थान सर्गा यत्र सर्वे प्रवृत्ता: । स वै महात्मा पुरुषोत्तमो वै तस्मिन् जगत् सर्वमिदं प्रतिष्ठितम्
pravṛttam etad bhagavan maharṣe mahadyuteśnacakram anantavīryam | viṣṇor anantasya sanātanaṃ tat sthānaṃ sargā yatra sarve pravṛttāḥ | sa vai mahātmā puruṣottamo vai tasmin jagat sarvam idaṃ pratiṣṭhitam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「祝福されし御方よ、強大な光輝を具えた大聖仙よ——無始にして無量の力を宿すこの広大なる世界の輪は、無限なるヴィシュヌの働きによって回転する。そこは彼の永遠の住処であり、あらゆる創造が発してゆく源である。大いなる魂をもつヴィシュヌこそ、まことにプルショーत्तम（至上の人）であり、この全宇宙は彼のうちに安立し、支えられている。」
