त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma

Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 123

स तत्र बहुभिरयक्तस्तदा श्रुतिमयैर्गुणै: । ब्राह्मणानामनुमतो देवर्षिसदृशो5भवत्‌

sa tatra bahubhir ayuktaḥ tadā śrutimayair guṇaiḥ | brāhmaṇānām anumato devarṣi-sadṛśo 'bhavat ||

ビーシュマは言った。「そこで彼は、ヴェーダの伝統に根ざす多くの徳を備え、苦行(タパス)に身を投じた。その修練の力によって彼は天のリシ(デーヴァリシ)にも比すべき者となり、ブラーフマナたちの間でも広く認められ、深く敬われた。」
