The verse emphasizes that rightful authority and decisive action in a crisis are strengthened when aligned with cosmic order (ṛta) and supported by forces representing law, friendship, fortune, and disciplined power—symbolized by the gathering of major Vedic deities around the central figure.
Vaiśampāyana describes a divine congregation: prominent deities—Pūṣan, Bhaga, Aryaman, Aṃśa, Vivasvat, Rudra, Mitra, Varuṇa—along with groups like the Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins, stand surrounding a mighty lordly figure, marking a moment of divine endorsement and heightened auspicious power within the war-time setting.
