Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical and spiritual authority that arises from disciplined observance of dharma—here symbolized by dīkṣā (consecration) and yajña-karma (sacrificial duty). True splendor (śrī) is presented as the outward sign of inner restraint, purity, and rightful action.

The onlookers (implied by the plural 'they saw') behold a great person who has undertaken ritual consecration and is engaged in sacrificial duties. Observing him endowed with exceptional radiance and auspicious majesty, they register his elevated status and the sanctity of the moment.
