सारथिं चास्य राजेन्द्र शितैर्विव्यधतु: शरै: । राजेन्द्र! फिर उन दोनों भाइयोंने भी पृथक्ू-पृथक् अनेक बाणोंसे नकुलको बींध डाला और पैने बाणोंद्वारा उनके सारथिको भी घायल कर दिया
sārathiṃ cāsya rājendra śitair vivyadhatuḥ śaraiḥ |
サンジャヤは言った。「王よ、あの二人の兄弟は鋭い矢で彼を貫き、さらに切っ先鋭い矢でその御者をも傷つけた。」この句は戦の容赦なき激化を示す。戦う者ではないが不可欠な支えである御者さえ、戦禍の猛りの中で傷を免れないのである。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how warfare rapidly expands suffering beyond principal fighters, drawing even essential attendants like charioteers into danger—prompting reflection on the ethical cost of unchecked martial fury.
Sañjaya reports to the king that two brothers (dual verb vivyadhatuḥ) strike their opponent with sharp arrows and also wound his charioteer, indicating an intense exchange in the Kurukṣetra battle.
