सत्यसेन सुषेणं च द्वाभ्यां द्वाभ्यामविध्यत । शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले नकुलने उन बाणोंका निवारण करके सत्यसेन और सुषेणको भी दो-दो बाणोंद्वारा घायल कर दिया
satyasenaṃ suṣeṇaṃ ca dvābhyāṃ dvābhyām avidhyat |
サンジャヤは言った。「彼はサティヤセーナとスシェーナを、それぞれ二本の矢で射抜いた。敵の勇将を滅ぼす者として名高いナクーラは、飛来する矢を防ぎ、節度ある報いとしてサティヤセーナとスシェーナをもまた、それぞれ二本の矢で負傷させた。乱戦のただ中にあっても制御された武威が示されたのである。」
संजय उवाच
Even in warfare, the ideal warrior acts with discipline: he defends effectively, responds proportionately, and channels strength toward duty rather than uncontrolled rage—an aspect of kṣatriya-dharma.
In the battle described by Sañjaya, Satyasena and Suṣeṇa are each struck with two arrows. Nakula counters by repelling the incoming arrows and then wounds both opponents with two arrows each, demonstrating tactical defense followed by measured counterattack.
