nīlapītāsitaśyāmaiḥ sitailohitakair api | avatānaiḥ tathā gulmair mañjarījāladhāribhiḥ ||
ナーラダは描写した。殿堂の各所は、青・黄・黒・暗色・白・赤とさまざまな色の蔓草と灌木に覆われ、その蔓は愛らしい花房を、まるで花の網のように垂れさせていた。
नारद उवाच
The verse primarily functions as vivid description rather than direct moral instruction; indirectly, it highlights how external magnificence and cultivated beauty can frame—and sometimes mask—deeper ethical and political tensions that unfold in the royal court.
Nārada is describing the assembly hall’s interior adornment: various areas are covered with multicolored creepers and shrubs, richly laden with attractive clusters of blossoms, emphasizing the hall’s extraordinary, almost enchanted grandeur.
