गमनाय मतिं चक्रे भ्रातरश्षास्य ते तदा | उन धर्मात्मा नरेशने नगर और जनपदके लोगोंको समझा-बुझाकर उनकी अनुमति प्राप्त कर ली। फिर उन्होंने और उनके भाइयोंने सब कुछ त्यागकर महा-प्रस्थान करनेका ही निश्चय किया

Transliteration

gamanāya matiṁ cakre bhrātaraś cāsya te tadā |

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。――そのとき、あの兄弟たちは出立を決意した。法にかなう王とその兄弟たちは、都の民と国の人々を諭して同意を得ると、いっさいを捨て去り、「マハープラスターナ（大出立）」の道を固く選び取った。
