रथा द्विपा वाजिपदातयस्तथा भवन्ति नानाविधशस्त्रवेष्टिता: । परस्परेणाभिहताश्न चस्खलु- विनिदुरार्ता व्यसवो5पतंस्तथा
sañjaya uvāca |
rathā dvipā vājipadātayas tathā bhavanti nānāvidhaśastraveṣṭitāḥ |
paraspareṇābhihatāś ca skhalu-vinidūrārtā vyasavo 'pataṃs tathā ||
サンジャヤは言った。戦車、戦象、騎兵、歩兵――さまざまな武器に身を覆い鎧をまとった者たちが、近接の乱戦で互いに打ち合った。打撃によりよろめき、苦痛の叫びを上げ、やがて命を失って倒れ伏した。
