द्रोण–सात्यकि-युद्धम्
Droṇa–Sātyaki Engagement
अथात्यर्थ विसृष्टेन द्विषतामसुभोजिना । आजलेने वक्षसि द्रोणो नाराचेन धनंजयम्,तत्पश्चात् शत्रुओंके प्राण लेनेवाले एक नाराचका प्रहार करके द्रोणाचार्यने अर्जुनकी छातीमें गहरी चोट पहुँचायी
athātyartha-visṛṣṭena dviṣatām asu-bhojinā | ājalena vakṣasi droṇo nārācena dhanañjayam ||
サञ्जयは言った。ついでドローナは、敵の命の息を喰らうかのごとき「ナーラーチャ」の矢を、極限の力で放ち、ダナンジャヤ（アルジュナ）の胸を射抜いて、深く痛ましい傷を負わせた。この場面は戦の苛烈さを示す。敬われる師でさえ致命の技を用い、クシャトリヤの法（kṣatriya-dharma）の要請のもと、武人の沈着と決意を試すのである。
