धृतराष्ट्रस्य शोकविलापः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament and Inquiry to Sañjaya

यदप्सु युध्यमानस्य चक्रे न परिपेततु: । उनके यहाँ आये हुए अतिथि 'रागखाण्डव” नामक मोदक और विविध भोज्यपदार्थ खाकर मतवाले हो सड़कोंपर लेट जाते थे। मेरे मतमें उनके यहाँ यह एक अद्भुत बात थी

yad apsu yudhyamānasya cakre na paripetatuḥ | rājānaṁ dṛḍha-dhanvānaṁ dilīpaṁ satyavādinam ||

ナーラダは言った。「水中で戦うときでさえ、彼の戦車の車輪は沈まず、滑り去ることもなかった。これぞディリーパ(Dilīpa)王――弓を執る手は堅く、真実において揺るがぬ者。比類なき武威と廉直を備え、他の王たちの及ぶところではない。」
