अभिमन्योर् दारुणः संमर्दः

सौभद्रेण हतै: पूर्व सोत्तरायोधिभिर्दिपै: । पाण्डूनां दर्शित: पन्था: सैन्धवेन निवारित:

Transliteration

saubhadreṇa hataiḥ pūrvaṃ sottarāyodhibhir dvipaiḥ | pāṇḍūnāṃ darśitaḥ panthāḥ saindhavena nivāritaḥ ||

Translation

サञ्जयは言った。先に、サウバドラ（アビマンニュ）が象使いもろとも討ち倒した戦象によって、パーンダヴァらには戦場の密集の中を抜ける通路が見えるようになり、進入の道が開かれていた。だがその同じ道は、信度の王子（ジャヤドラタ）によって再び塞がれ、彼は彼らの前進を阻む障壁として立ちはだかった。
