अभिमन्युना दुःशासनस्य ताडनम्

न हास्य समरे युद्धोेदन्‍तको5प्याततायिन: । किमज़् पुनरेवान्यो मर्त्य: सत्यं ब्रवीमि व:

Transliteration

na hāsya samare yuddhodantako 'py ātatāyinaḥ | kim u punaḥ evānyo martyaḥ satyaṃ bravīmi vaḥ ||

Translation

サञ्जयは語った。「戦場において、たとえ人殺しの凶徒であっても、ただ戦うだけで敵の『終わり』となるわけではない。まして他のいかなる凡人がそれを成し得ようか。これこそ真実として汝らに告げる。」
