māhendraṃ ca dhanuḥ divyaṃ dharmarāje yudhiṣṭhire | vāyavyaṃ bhīmasenasya dhanuḥ divyam abhūn nṛpa rājan |
サンジャヤは言った。「王よ、マヘーンドラ(インドラ)より授けられた神弓は、ダルマラージャ・ユディシュティラの手にあって輝いていた。同じく、ビー マセーナはヴァーユより賜った神弓を有していた。」

The verse frames martial capability as a trust supported by higher powers: rulers and warriors should see their strength and weapons not as mere personal possession but as responsibility aligned with dharma and rightful duty.
Sañjaya describes the Pāṇḍavas’ armaments during the war, noting that Yudhiṣṭhira bears a divine bow from Indra and Bhīma bears a divine bow from Vāyu, highlighting their formidable, divinely-linked preparedness.
