द्रोणविक्रमदर्शनम् / The Display of Droṇa’s Onslaught and the Debate on Pāṇḍava Regrouping
सात्यकिं चेकितानं च धृष्टद्युम्मशिखण्डिनौ । वार्थक्षेमिं चैत्रसेनिं सेनाबिन्दुं सुवर्चसम्
sātyakiṃ cekitānaṃ ca dhṛṣṭadyumnam śikhaṇḍinau | vārthakṣemiṃ caitraseniṃ senābinduṃ suvarcasam ||
サンジャヤは言った。戦のただ中で、ドローナーチャールヤは――カウラヴァに囲まれながらも――サーティヤキ、チェキターナ、ドリシュタデュムナ、シカンディンをはじめ、ヴァールタクシェーミ、チトラセーナの子、セーナービンドゥ、スヴァルチャス、さらに諸国の多くの王たちを打ち伏せた。この段は、戦の陰鬱な勢いを示す。武威と策は名だたる英雄すら屈せしめ、相争う忠誠のもとで戦うことの倫理的緊張はますます深まってゆく。
