जलजानि च सत्त्वानि दहमानानि भारत । न शान्तिमुपजम्मुर्हि तप्यमानैर्जलाशयै:,भारत! जलाशय भी तप गये थे, जिससे दग्ध होनेवाले जलचर प्राणियोंको भी शान्ति नहीं मिल पाती थी

Transliteration

jalajāni ca sattvāni dahamānāni bhārata | na śāntim upajagmur hi tapyamānaiḥ jalāśayaiḥ ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「おお、バーラタよ。水に生まれた生き物でさえ、その熱に焼かれて安らぎを得られなかった。池や湖、その水たまりまでもが灼けるように熱くなっていたからである。」
