तस्य रूपमभूद् राजन् भीमसेनस्य संयुगे । खटद्योतैरावृतस्येव पर्वतस्य दिनक्षये,राजन्! उस समय युद्धस्थलमें भीमसेनका रूप संध्याके समय जुगुनुओंसे भरे हुए पर्वतके समान प्रतीत हो रहा था
tasya rūpam abhūd rājan bhīmasenasya saṁyuge | khaṭadyotair āvṛtasyeva parvatasya dinakṣaye ||
王よ、その戦いにおいてビーマセーナの姿は、日暮れの山のようであり、群れ飛ぶ蛍に覆われたかのごとく見えた—その比喩は、彼の戦の気魄への畏敬と、戦場を包む不吉な黄昏の気配をいっそう深める。
