गदयाप्यनया गुर्व्या हेमविग्रहया रणे । कालवत् प्रहरिष्यामि द्रौणेरस्त्र विशातयन्,“इस सुवर्णमयी भारी गदासे रणभूमिमें द्रोणपुत्रके अस्त्रोंको चूर-चूर करनेके लिये मैं कालके समान प्रहार करूँगा
gadayāpy anayā gurvyā hemavigrahayā raṇe | kālavat prahariṣyāmi drauṇer astra-viśātayan ||
サञ्जャヤは言った。「戦場において、この黄金の身を持つ重きガダーをもってさえ、私は死神カーラのごとく打ち下ろし、ドローナの子ドラウネーヤ（Drauṇeya）の武器を粉々に砕いてみせよう。」
