Shloka 17
तां गदां बहुभि: कर्ण: सुपुड्खै: सुप्रवेजितै: । प्रत्यविध्यत् पुनश्चान्यै: सा भीम॑ पुनराव्रजत्
tāṃ gadāṃ bahubhiḥ karṇaḥ supuṅkhaiḥ supravejitaiḥ | pratyavidhyat punaś cānyaiḥ sā bhīmaṃ punar āvrajat ||
サञ्जयは語った。カルナはそのガダーを、羽根整い力強く放たれた無数の矢で、幾度も幾度も撃ち当てた。だが矢に阻まれながらも、そのガダーはなおビーマへと返って来た。ここに戦の止まぬ勢いが示される――技と力が不屈の意志にぶつかり、幾重の妨げも、決した一撃を容易には逸らせない。
