सैन्येन रजसा मूढं सर्वमन्धमिवा भवत् । उस अवस्थामें न आकाशका, न पृथ्वीका और न दिशाओंका ही पता लगता था। सेनाद्वारा उड़ायी हुई धूलसे आच्छादित होकर वहाँ सब कुछ अन्धकारमय हो गया था
sainyena rajasā mūḍhaṃ sarvam andham ivābhavat |
サンジャヤは言った。軍勢の巻き上げた塵により、戦場のすべては惑わされ、闇の中で盲いたかのようであった。その有様では、天も地も、さらには方角さえも見定められない。軍が舞い上げた渦巻く塵が万物を覆い尽くし、そこはただ暗黒と化していた。
