तदपश्यद्हृृषीकेश: पाण्डवानां हिते रत: । स भीमसेनरक्षार्थ हैडिम्बिं पर्यचोदयत्,पाण्डवोंके हितमें तत्पर रहनेवाले भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने जब वह युद्ध देखा, तब भीमसेनकी रक्षाके लिये हिडिम्बाकुमार घटोत्कचको भेजा
sañjaya uvāca | tad apaśyad hṛṣīkeśaḥ pāṇḍavānāṃ hite rataḥ | sa bhīmasena-rakṣārthaṃ haiḍimbīṃ paryacodayat |
サञ्जयは語った。戦の趨勢がそのように転じたのを見て、常にパーンダヴァの利益に心を砕くフリシーケーシャ（クリシュナ）は、ビーマセーナを守るため、ヒディンビーの子ガトートカチャを奮い立たせて行動させた。この偈は、戦の道義的重圧のただ中で、時宜を得た助言と適切な味方によってパーンダヴァの大義を支える、クリシュナの警醒なる守護を示している。
