alambuṣo 'pi vikṣipya samutkṣipya ca rākṣasam ghaṭotkacaṃ raṇe roṣān niṣpipeṣa ca bhūtale |
サञ्जयは語った。アランブシャは戦の怒りに駆られ、羅刹ガトートカチャを打ち払って投げ飛ばし、さらに持ち上げては、荒々しく大地へ押しつけ、砕き磨り潰した。この場面は、戦の憤怒が人を極端で非人間的な力へと駆り立て、勝利が自制ではなく、ただ肉体の支配によって追い求められることを示している。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger (roṣa) in warfare can escalate action into brutal excess; it implicitly contrasts unrestrained wrath with the ideal of self-control and measured conduct even amid conflict.
During the battle, Alambuṣa attacks Ghaṭotkaca, hurls and lifts him, and then crushes/grinds him against the ground, as Sañjaya reports the ferocity of their combat.
