शेषांश्ष॒ पाण्डवान् योधा: प्रसभं हीनतेजस: । 'योद्धाओ! इसी प्रकार महारथी कर्ण अर्जुनका वध कर डालेगा तथा रणयज्ञकी दीक्षा लेकर युद्ध करनेवाला मैं भीमसेनको और तेजोहीन हुए दूसरे पाण्डवोंको भी बलपूर्वक जीत लूँगा
śeṣān pāṇḍavān yodhāḥ prasabhaṃ hīna-tejasaḥ |
サञ्जयは言った。「そののち戦士たちは、輝きと力を失いつつある残りのパーンダヴァたちを、力ずくでねじ伏せるであろう。」戦の倫理的な影の中で、この一句は、暴力の勢いが弱った者へと向かい、武勇と策謀と執拗な力が、抑制とダルマを覆い隠しかねぬことを示している。
