Transliteration

tataste vyākulī bhūtā rājānaḥ karṇapīḍitāḥ

Translation

そのときカルナに苦しめられた諸王は、戦場の押し合いへし合いのただ中で平静を失い、混乱と苦悩に投げ込まれた――節度なき武威が、規律と正しい助言に支えられぬ勇気を揺さぶり、王者すら動揺させ得ることを示していた。
