तमापततन्तं सम्प्रेक्ष्य शैनेयस्य रथं प्रति
tam āpatatantaṃ samprekṣya śaineyasya rathaṃ prati
彼が一直線に、ためらいなくシャイネーヤの戦車へ突進するのを見て、サンジャヤはその瞬間を、戦場の焦点が一挙に絞り込まれ、目前の正面攻撃へと収束した時として語る。そこでは、意志と勇気、そして特定の戦士を狙い定めることの倫理が、戦の熱の中で交差するのである。
सयजय उवाच
The line highlights how, in war, decisive intent and focused action drive events, while implicitly raising the ethical weight of choosing a specific target—an aspect of kṣatriya-dharma where courage and responsibility are tested together.
Sañjaya reports that someone is charging toward Śaineya’s (Sātyaki’s) chariot; the verse functions as a transition into a direct confrontation centered on that chariot.
