तस्मिन् संधीयमाने तु शरे ज्वलनतेजसि । अन्तरिक्षे महानादो भूतानामभवन्नूप,नरेश्वर! जब अर्जुन अग्निके समान तेजस्वी उस बाणका संधान करने लगे, उस समय आकाशबचारी प्राणियोंमें महान् कोलाहल होने लगा
tasmin sandhīyamāne tu śare jvalana-tejasi | antarīkṣe mahānādo bhūtānām abhavan nṛpa nara-īśvara ||
サञ्जयは語った。火のごとき輝きを放つその矢が弓に番えられようとしたとき、天空を行き交う諸々の存在のあいだに、轟くほどの大騒ぎが起こった、王よ、人の主よ。この瞬間は、アルジュナがまさに行おうとする行為の道義的な重みを告げる。戦士の決意が固まり行動へと転ずるとき、空気そのものが応えるかのように震え、自然と見えざる証人たちが、放たれようとする暴力の深刻さを悟るのである。
