अन्धकार-रजःसंमूढे रणाङ्गणे प्रदीपप्रकाशः | Illumination of the Army in Darkness and Dust

स नन्दयन्‌ रणे पार्थ केशवं च यशस्विनम्‌ । सात्यकिं चक्ररक्षी च भीम: कर्णमयोधयत्‌,भीमसेन रणक्षेत्रमें कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन, यशस्वी श्रीकृष्ण, सात्यकि तथा दोनों चक्ररक्षक युधामन्यु एवं उत्तमौजाको आनन्दित करते हुए कर्णके साथ युद्ध कर रहे थे

sa nandayan raṇe pārthaṁ keśavaṁ ca yaśasvinam | sātyakiṁ cakrarakṣī ca bhīmaḥ karṇam ayodhayat ||

サञ्जयは言った。戦のただ中でビーマはカルナと戦い、その武勇と不動の堅忍によって、パールタ(アルジュナ)、名高きケーシャヴァ(クリシュナ)、サーティヤキ、そして戦車の護衛たちを喜ばせた。この詩句は、戦の倫理的重圧の中にあっても、武人の勇気が味方を励まし士気を支えることを示している。
