पाञ्चजन्यरवो घोर: पुनरासीद् विशाम्पते । प्रजानाथ! जब भीमसेन युद्धकी इच्छासे आपकी सेनाकी ओर प्रस्थित हुए, उस समय पुन: पांचजन्य शंखकी भयंकर ध्वनि प्रकट हुई
pāñcajanyaravo ghoraḥ punar āsīd viśāmpate | prajānātha! yadā bhīmasenaḥ yuddhecchayā tava senām abhitaḥ prasthitaḥ, tadā punaḥ pāñcajanyaśaṅkhasya bhīṣaṇā dhvaniḥ prādurabhavat |
サञ्जयは言った。「おお民の主よ、人々の統べる王よ！ ふたたび恐るべき法螺貝パーンチャジャニヤの轟きが起こった。戦う意志に駆られたビーマセーナが、あなたの軍勢へ向けて進み出たその時、あの凄絶なパーンチャジャニヤの一吹きが再び顕れたのだ――決意の再燃を告げ、戦場の正法の重圧がカウラヴァ軍にのしかかる兆しとして。」
