तान् द्रोणचापनिर्मुक्तान् दाशा्: पतत: शरान् | द्वाभ्यां द्वाभ्यां सुपुड्खाभ्यां चिच्छेद परमास्त्रवित्,द्रोणाचार्यके धनुषसे छूटकर गिरते हुए उन बाणोंको दशा्हकुलनन्दन परमास्त्रवेत्ता सात्यकिने उत्तम पंखोंसे युक्त दो-दो बाणोंद्वारा काट डाला
tān droṇacāpanirmuktān daśāḥ patataḥ śarān | dvābhyāṁ dvābhyāṁ supuṅkhābhyāṁ ciccheda paramāstravit ||
サンジャヤは言った。「ドローナの弓から放たれた十本の矢が飛来すると、至高の武器に通じ、ダーシャールハ族の誉れであるサーティヤキは、良き羽根を備えた矢でそれらを二本ずつ断ち切った。」
संजय उवाच
Even in violent conflict, excellence is shown through restraint and precision: neutralizing incoming harm efficiently (cutting arrows mid-flight) reflects disciplined mastery rather than reckless aggression.
Droṇa shoots ten arrows; as they fly toward their target, Sātyaki counters by firing paired, well-feathered arrows that sever Droṇa’s arrows in midair, demonstrating superior timing and weapon-skill.
