Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
तमुवाच तत:ः पादौ कराभ्यां पीड्य पाण्डव: । भीष्मं शान्तनवं राजा युद्धाय समुपस्थितम्
tam uvāca tataḥ pādau karābhyāṃ pīḍya pāṇḍavaḥ | bhīṣmaṃ śāntanavaṃ rājā yuddhāya samupasthitam ||
サञ्जयは語った。ついでパーンダヴァの王ユディシュティラは、敬意をもって両手で大祖父の御足を押さえ、戦いのために立つサンタヌの子ビーシュマにこのように告げた。この場面は戦の倫理的緊張を示す。争いが避けがたくとも、武人の王は謙虚さと長老への敬いを失わず、刃を交える前に正当な許しと祝福を求めてダルマを守るのである。
