त॑ प्रयान्तमभिप्रेक्ष्य कुन्तीपुत्रो धनंजय: । अवतीर्य रथात् तूर्ण भ्रातृभि: सहितो5न्वयात्
taṁ prayāntam abhiprekṣya kuntīputro dhanaṁjayaḥ | avatīrya rathāt tūrṇaṁ bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito 'nvayāt ||
サンジャヤは言った――彼が敵軍の方へ進むのを見て、クンティーの子ダナンジャヤ（アルジュナ）はただちに戦車を降り、兄弟たちとともにその後を追った。この場面は、戦のただ中における血縁と義務の引力を示す。敬われる指導者が危難へ踏み出すとき、諸将は即座に応じ、その瞬間の道義の重みが迅速な行動を促すのである。
