Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
त॑ प्रयान्तमभिप्रेक्ष्य कुन्तीपुत्रो धनंजय: । अवतीर्य रथात् तूर्ण भ्रातृभि: सहितो5न्वयात्
taṁ prayāntam abhiprekṣya kuntīputro dhanaṁjayaḥ | avatīrya rathāt tūrṇaṁ bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito 'nvayāt ||
サンジャヤは言った――彼が敵軍の方へ進むのを見て、クンティーの子ダナンジャヤ(アルジュナ)はただちに戦車を降り、兄弟たちとともにその後を追った。この場面は、戦のただ中における血縁と義務の引力を示す。敬われる指導者が危難へ踏み出すとき、諸将は即座に応じ、その瞬間の道義の重みが迅速な行動を促すのである。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights prompt, duty-bound action in a morally charged battlefield context: when a respected figure advances toward danger, responsible leaders respond immediately, balancing reverence, kinship, and the demands of dharma.
Sañjaya reports that Arjuna, seeing someone proceed toward the enemy forces, quickly gets down from his chariot and follows, together with his brothers, indicating urgency and collective resolve at a critical moment.
