Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction
सम्बन्ध-- इस प्रकार कर्मयोगके वर्णनकी प्रस्तावना करके अब उसका रहस्यपूर्ण महत्त्व बतलाते हैं-- नेहाभिक्रमनाशो<स्ति प्रत्यवायोः न विद्यते । स्वल्पमप्यस्य धर्मस्य त्रायते महतो भयात्
nehābhikramanāśo 'sti pratyavāyo na vidyate | svalpam apy asya dharmasya trāyate mahato bhayāt ||
この業の修練(カルマ・ヨーガ)の道においては、真実の一歩が無に帰することはなく、また逆の堕落を生むこともない。たとえこのダルマをわずかに修するだけでも、大いなる恐れ—とりわけ生死の輪廻に結びつく存在の恐怖—から人を守る。心を鎮め、行いを正法にかなわせるがゆえである。
संजय उवाच
Karma-yoga is a safe and cumulative discipline: sincere effort is never wasted, it does not produce a harmful ‘reverse’ result, and even limited practice powerfully protects the practitioner from profound existential fear by grounding life in dharma.
