सर्व दुर्योधनस्यार्थ त्यक्त मे भूरिदक्षिण । मा चैतद् व्याधिमरणं क्षत्रं स्थादिति कौरव
sarva duryodhanasyārtha tyakta me bhūridakṣiṇa | mā caitad vyādhimaraṇaṁ kṣatraṁ sthād iti kaurava ||
カルナは言った。「ドゥルヨーダナのために、わたしはすべてを捨てた—本来なら得られたはずの大いなる報いと利得さえも。おお、カウラヴァよ、武人の道（クシャトラ・ダルマ）が、ただ『病と死』として汚名を着せられることのないように。」
