Shloka 14

यदेक: समरे पार्थान्‌ सार्जुनानू समयोधयत्‌ । न चैनं पाण्डवा युद्धे वारयामासुरुल्बणम्‌,वह समरभूमिमें अकेला ही अर्जुनसहित समस्त कुन्तीकुमारोंसे युद्ध कर रहा था; वहाँ पाण्डव उस प्रचण्ड पराक्रमी दुःशासनको रोक नहीं पाते थे

sañjaya uvāca |

yad ekaḥ samare pārthān sārjunānū samayodhayat |

na cainaṃ pāṇḍavā yuddhe vārayāmāsur ulbaṇam ||

サンジャヤは言った。「戦のただ中で、彼がただ一人、アルジュナをも含むプリターの子らすべてと戦ったというのに、パーンダヴァたちはその猛き戦士を戦場で抑え得なかったとは、いかなることであろうか。」
