प्रदीप: काउचनैस्तत्र गन्धतैलावसेचितै: । परिवत्रुर्महाराजं॑ प्रज्वलद्धिः समनन््तत:,सुगन्धित तेलसे भरे हुए सोनेके जलते दीपक लिये बहुत-से सेवक महाराज दुर्योधनको सब ओरसे घेरकर चल रहे थे
pradīpāḥ kāñcanais tatra gandhatailāvasecitaiḥ | parivavruḥ mahārājaṃ prajvaladbhis samantataḥ |
そこでは、香油を満たした黄金の灯火を燃え立たせて携える多くの従者が、ドゥルヨーダナ王を四方から取り囲むように歩んでいた。
कर्ण उवाच
The verse highlights how external grandeur—guards, attendants, and ceremonial light—can project authority and security, yet it also implicitly contrasts such display with the deeper moral and strategic realities of the coming conflict, where dharma and wise counsel matter more than pageantry.
Karna describes a scene in which Duryodhana is escorted: numerous servants carry blazing golden lamps filled with perfumed oil and move around him on all sides, forming a luminous, protective entourage as he proceeds.
