पाण्डव-वृष्णि-समागमः तथा अश्वमेध-अनुज्ञा | Reunion at the Kuru Court and Authorization of the Aśvamedha

तान्‌ समीपगतान श्रु॒त्वा निर्ययुर्वृष्णिपुड्रवा:,वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख वीरोंने जब सुना कि पाण्डव लोग नगरके समीप आ गये हैं, तब वे उनकी अगवानीके लिये बाहर निकले

tān samīpagatān śrutvā niryayur vṛṣṇipuṅgavāḥ

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。パーンダヴァらが都の近くまで来たと聞くや、ヴリシュニ族の筆頭の勇士たちは迎えのために外へ出た。これは礼節と親族の務めにかなう行いであり、ダルマに則って客人を迎えるべく、敬意と備えを示すものであった。
