Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit (अभिमन्युज-प्राणरक्षा-प्रार्थना)
अब्र॒ुवंश्ष महाराज सर्वाः सास्राविलेक्षणा: । स्वस्रीयो वासुदेवस्य मृतो जात इति प्रभो
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Abruvan mahārāja sarvāḥ sāśrāvilekṣaṇāḥ | svasrīyo Vāsudevasya mṛto jāta iti prabho ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「大王よ、あの女たちは皆、涙にかすむ眼で泣き叫び、『ああ、なんということだ！ ヴァースデーヴァの妹の子は、死して生まれたのだ、主よ！』と嘆いた。」この場面は、大勝の後でさえ命がいかに脆いかを示し、悲嘆を人が等しく分かち合う反応として描き、ダルマにおける不動心と慈悲を試すものとしている。
