2: छा अकाल त्रिशो&्थ्याय: कुन्तीका कर्णके जन्मका गुप्त रहस्य बताना और व्यासजीका उन्हें सान्त्वना देना कुन्त्युवाच भगवन्‌ श्वशुरो मेडसि दैवतस्यापि दैवतम्‌ | स मे देवातिदेवस्त्वं शृणु सत्यां गिरं मम

Kuntī uvāca | bhagavan śvaśuro me ’si daivatasya api daivatam | sa me devātidevas tvaṃ śṛṇu satyāṃ giraṃ mama ||

クンティーは言った。「尊き御方よ、あなたは私の舅であり、私が拝する神々の上に立つ神でもあります。ゆえに私にとって、あなたは諸天にも勝るお方です。どうか私の真実の言葉をお聞きください—今日、私はあなたの御前で、我が生涯の秘事を明かしましょう。」
