यद्यप्याचरित: कैश्रिन्नैष धर्म: सनातन: । अन्येषामपि दृश्यन्ते लोकत: सम्प्रवृत्तय:
yady apy ācaritaḥ kaiścin naiṣa dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ | anyeṣām api dṛśyante lokataḥ sampravṛttayaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「たとえある者たちがそのような振る舞いを行ってきたとしても、それは永遠のダルマ（正法）ではない。他の人々の間にも、世俗の慣習や社会のしきたりから生じただけの行いの型が多く見受けられる。」
