यतः प्रार्थयते नित्यं तां रक्षस्व यथाबलम् । देवशर्मा बोले--वत्स! मैं यज्ञ करनेके लिये जाऊँगा। तुम मेरी इस पत्नी रुचिकी यत्नपूर्वक रक्षा करना; क्योंकि देवराज इन्द्र सदा इसे प्राप्त करनेकी चेष्टामें लगा रहता है
yataḥ prārthayate nityaṃ tāṃ rakṣasva yathābalam |
ビーマは語った。「彼が絶えず彼女を求めるゆえ、力の限り守れ。」物語の枠では、デーヴァシャルマーがヤジュニャ（祭祀）に赴く前、子に言い渡す。「我が子よ、私は祭祀を行いに行く。わが妻ルチキー（Rucikī）を心して守れ。天帝インドラは常に彼女を得ようと努めているのだ。」
