यज्ञानामपि यो यज्ञ: शिवानामपि य:ः शिव: । रुद्राणामपि यो रुद्र: प्रभा प्रभवतामपि
yajñānām api yo yajñaḥ śivānām api yaḥ śivaḥ | rudrāṇām api yo rudraḥ prabhā prabhavatām api ||
ヴァーユは言った。「彼は、あらゆる祭祀（ヤジュニャ）の中にあってなお“祭祀”そのものであり、吉祥なるものの中にあってなお最上の吉祥（シヴァ）である。ルドラたちの中にあってなおルドラであり、栄光あるものの中にあってなお“光輝”そのものである——一切衆生の自己（アートマン）にして、諸世界が彼より生じ、ついには彼に帰して融け去る、その量り知れぬ光威の主シヴァの千八（1008）の御名を、我より聞け。人中の最勝者よ、これをただ聞くのみで、汝のあらゆる願いは成就する。」
