वेदे चास्य विदुर्विप्रा: शतरुद्रीयमुत्तमम्‌ । व्यासेनोक्तं च यच्चापि उपस्थानं महात्मन:

Transliteration

vede cāsya vidur viprāḥ śatarudrīyam uttamam | vyāsenoktaṃ ca yac cāpi upasthānaṃ mahātmanaḥ ||

Translation

ヴェーダに通暁する学識あるブラーフマナたちは、卓越した『シャタルドリーヤ』（Śatarudrīya）によって彼を知る。そこでは彼の数多の崇高なる名が宣言されている。また大聖仙ヴ்யーサも、その大いなる魂の主（シヴァ）に捧げる恭敬の讃歌（ウパスターナ）を説き示した。
