brāhmaṇa-pratipūjāyām āyuḥ kīrtir yaśo balam | lokā lokeśvarāś caiva sarve brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ |
The verse teaches that honoring brāhmaṇas—symbols of sacred learning, discipline, and restraint—is a dharmic act that yields tangible fruits (longevity, fame, reputation, strength) and aligns one with the wider cosmic order, since even the rulers of the worlds are said to revere them.
Vāyudeva is speaking within an instructional context (anuśāsana), emphasizing the merit and social-religious importance of brāhmaṇa worship/ सम्मान, presenting it as a universally upheld practice across realms and by cosmic authorities.
